Book Buddies at Haverstraw King’s Daughters Public Library is a volunteer program in which teens (grades 7-12) will work with children (grades 1-4) to foster better reading skills. In addition to reading and listening, we will be playing some word and reading-focused games to sharpen these skills!
This program will take place on:
- Mondays (5-6:30 PM) at both the Main Library and Village Branch
- Wednesdays (5-6:30 PM) at the Main Library
- Saturdays, July 11 and August 1 (12-4 PM) at the Main Library
Please note that while the sessions are 90 minutes, you are not required to stay the entire time.
Please fill out the registration form by clicking the ‘Join Book Buddies’ button below. One of the children’s librarians will be in touch to confirm registration dates and to answer any questions you may have about participation in the program. You can also sign up in person at the Children’s reference desk!
